Privacy policy
Plugbeam ("Plugbeam", "we", "us") provides connectors that let Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic, read data from services you use, starting with Google Search Console. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what choices you have. Questions: support@plugbeam.com.
Summary
- We request read-only access to your Google Search Console data and use it only to answer the requests you make in Claude.
- We don't store your Search Console data. Results are passed to your Claude conversation and discarded.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or use your data to train AI models.
- You can disconnect at any time and ask us to delete your account record.
Data we collect
When you connect a Google account
- Basic Google profile: your Google account ID and email address, used to identify your connection and to contact you about your account.
- OAuth tokens: the access and refresh tokens Google issues when you grant access. We store them encrypted and use them only to call the Google APIs needed to answer your requests.
When you use a connector
- Request parameters: the inputs Claude sends to a tool, such as a property URL, date range, filters or URLs to inspect. They are processed to fulfil the request and are not kept, except briefly in error logs as described below.
- Google user data: Search Console data returned by Google, such as search performance, URL inspection results and sitemap status. It is returned to your Claude conversation and not stored by Plugbeam.
- Usage metadata: which tool was called, when, whether it succeeded and how long it took, linked to a pseudonymous identifier. We use it to operate, secure and improve the service.
Technical and support data
- Logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the service. Application logs record errors without the contents of Google responses and are kept for up to 30 days.
- Support messages: if you email us, we keep the correspondence to help you.
We do not receive your Claude conversations. A connector sees only the tool calls Claude makes to it.
Google user data
Plugbeam requests the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly ("View Search Console data for your verified sites"), plus basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile). We use Google user data only to provide the features you use: listing your properties, retrieving search performance, comparing periods, inspecting URLs and reading sitemap status.
Plugbeam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are visible in the product.
- We transfer Google user data only to the Claude client you connected, at your request, to provide those features, or as required by law.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
- No person at Plugbeam reads your Google user data unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security purposes, or the law requires it.
How we use data
- To provide the connectors and answer your requests.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.
- To understand which features are used, using aggregated usage metadata.
- To communicate with you about your account, important changes or support requests.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract (providing the service you request), our legitimate interests (security, reliability and improving the service) and legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, under contracts that require them to protect it:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting, encrypted storage, network security, email forwarding |
| Google LLC | Source of the data you connect (Search Console API) and Google sign-in |
| Anthropic | The Claude client you connect receives tool results at your request; its use is governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy |
If we introduce paid plans, a payment provider will process billing details; we will update this policy before that happens. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
Retention
- OAuth tokens: until you disconnect, revoke access, or after 180 days without use.
- Account record (Google account ID, email, connection dates): until you ask us to delete it, or 12 months after your last use.
- Usage metadata: up to 13 months, then deleted or kept only in aggregated form.
- Error logs: up to 30 days.
- Search Console data: not stored.
Your choices and rights
- Disconnect: remove the connector in Claude (Settings → Connectors).
- Revoke Google access: at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This invalidates our tokens immediately.
- Delete your data: email support@plugbeam.com from the address on your Google account. We delete your account record and tokens within 30 days.
- Access, correction, objection, portability: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have these rights. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to run the service, and we request the narrowest Google scopes that support the features we offer. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.
International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Plugbeam is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect.
